University of Lodz

Lodz

The University of Lódz and University of Central Missouri are currently establishing new links designed to promote faculty and student exchange. As one of Poland’s newest and largest universities with over 29,000 students, there are ample opportunities for Central students to learn about the many changes occurring in modern Poland.

Lódz

The city of Lódz was established in 1423 and is now the second largest city in Poland. Situated in the middle of Poland, this city of over one million people developed as the center of the textile industry. Today’s Lódz has undergone considerable modernization since 1945, and is now the site of numerous institutions of higher learning, museums, theatres, and pubs.

Program Availability

Affordability

Many of Central's programs are based on an exchange of students with other schools, and consequently do not cost significantly more than a regular semester or year at Central. In addition, international study grants are available to help offset costs by covering a substantial portion of an eligible student's tuition.

In a majority of cases, Distinguished, Presidential and Regents scholarships, departmental scholarships, Bright Flight, Pell grants, and various other forms of financial aid will be applicable to study abroad programs. Central students studying abroad typically receive additional assistance from a study grant awarded through the Office of International Programs.
