EBS Summer School     ebs

Bachelor and Master's Session "Doing Business in Europe". June 11th to June 28th
Study Abroad this Summer in beautiful Oestrich-Winkel, Germany at EBS!  


Academics
EBSThe course is ideally suited for Master and Bachelor students studying business administration. Students of  economics, law, accounting or related fields may also apply.The first part of the Bachelor & Master Session will cover the economic and political environment of international business in Europe. A complementary introductory German language course will be offered during the first week of the programme, although all lectures, activities and tours are conducted in English. The second phase will lay out specific strategies for doing business in Europe, touching on such areas as:
  • Social, economic and political issues in the European business environment
  • Corporate governance and leadership in European businesses
  • New markets in Eastern Europe
  • Leadership styles and human resource management in Europe
  • Challenges in the competitive European business markets

Company Visits

The European Parliament and the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France, AUDI car manufacturer in Neckarsulm

Academic Credit Upon successful completion of this program, EBS will award 10 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System). UCM students should expect to receive between 5-6 US credits for this program.


Social Activities

Oesrich-Winkel - A welcome cocktail in the original wine cellar of the campus castle to mingle with your fellow participants

- Sightseeing in different parts of Germany, connected to the company visits

- A tour and wine-tasting seminar at a venerable old abbey, followed by the farewell BBQ on the last day of the programme

- Extracurricular Activities



In addition, the programme allows enough free time for leisure time and the chance to explore Germany and neighbouring countries on your own. There will be an extended weekend (Sat/Sun/Mon) and students are encouraged to visit neighbouring countries such as France, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Immigration requirements

All students will need to have a Passport for this program. Students in possession of a US Passport will not need a German Visa to go to this program unless they plan to stay in Germany for more than 89 days.


Housing

Students will be assisted with finding suitable accommodation in the beautiful nearby towns of Oestrich-Winkel and Hattenheim.
